(Or something like that)
Once upon a time, not so very long ago and not particularly far away (the Earth is only so big, you know), a little girl was born. Her parents named her Avery Trelaine, after her great (times seven) grandmother, who was a powerful sorceress (the kind that could [and would] turn you into a frog if you vexed her). They named her this in hopes that she would inherit the power that had been lost for generations. But she was no sorceress. She was just an ordinary girl. She skipped along the riverbank by her home, she bit her nails, she grew up. But most of all, she read. She loved to read, for words were magic of the most powerful sort. And so she, along with cousins Twyla (with whom she grew up) and Aislinn (with whom she had only been recently acquainted, as she had been raised by Unicorns and Wolves), created 3 Evil Cousins, hoping to contribute to the magic that she loved so very much. And to this very day she can be found in her not-particularly-far-away-town, reading and dreaming, pen in hand.

Almost as bad as Gossip Girl. Almost.

Great site. It's good to know that there are other teenagers out there with more in their heads than air and brandnames. I'm impressed. Keep up the good work!

PS - Has any of you read Phillip Pullman or Clive Barker? They're some of the best out there in this genre. Also Garth Nix. Possibly a relative. That is all.
